Saitawade is a village in the tehsil/mandal of Ratnagiri in the Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra.
Saitavde is located in its original 's' shape on the coast of Jaigad creek. The name Saitavde is not yet proved by any evidence, but the village still gives the proof of Mughal empire. It is surrounded by green mountains. The main route to visit Saitavde is either by sea or by road. The nearest tahseel or district main town is Ratnagiri 59 kms away. The natural beauty of Saitavde speaks every truth about itself. A documentary was made on Saitavde named 'Sagarpremee Saitavda' in around 1975-76.
