1904 - Chitturu Nagayya (Vuppaladadiyam Nagayya) was born in Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh. He was a actor, composer, director, producer, writer and playback singer of Telugu film industry. He also acted in Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi films. He was awarded Padmashri.

Famous Deaths

1941 - "Khan Bahadur" Kavasji Jamshedji Petigara died. He was the first Indian to become the Deputy Commissioner of Police of the Mumbai Police in 1928.

2006 - Bansi Lal was died in Delhi. He was a freedom fighter and Chief Minister of Haryana. He served three separate terms as Chief Minister of Haryana.
