1974 - Prof. Satyendra Nath Bose FRS was died in Calcutta at the age of 80. He is a Bengali physicist specializing in mathematical physics. He is best known for his work on quantum mechanics, providing the foundation for Bose-Einstein statistics and the theory of the Bose-Einstein condensate.

2002 - Bhagwan Dada (Bhagwan Abhaji Palav) died at the age of 88 in Mumbai. He was an actor and film director. He is best known for his social film Albela.
