Famous Births

1905 - Mulk Raj Anand was born in Peshawar, British India. He was a writer in English, notable for his depiction of the lives of the poorer castes in traditional Indian society. He was honoured with Sahitya Akademi Award and Padma Bhushan.

Famous Deaths

1884 - C. P. Brown died. He was a Telugu writer and an Englishman by descent. He worked as an official in Cuddapah and Rajahmundry. Native Telugu people call him Brown Dora.
