1904 - C. R. Kesavan Vaidyar was born in Ramapuram, Meenachil taluk, Kottayam district. He was an industrialist, social worker and a Ayurvedic Vaidyar. He was follower of Sree Narayana Guru. The famous "Chandrika" ayurvedic soap was his idea. He started manufacturing the soap from Irinjalakuda.

1927 - Bansi Lal was born in Golagarh village in Bhiwani district of Haryana. He was a freedom fighter and Chief Minister of Haryana. He served three separate terms as Chief Minister of Haryana.

2011 - Bollywood film "Chitkabrey Shades of Grey" directed by Suneet Arora starring Ravi Kissen, Rahul Singh, Rajesh Shringapure, Sanjay Swaraj, Akshay Singh, Bobby Vats and Divya Dwivedi was released.

2011 - Bollywood film "Shabri" directed by Lalit Marathe starring Eesha Koppikhar was released.

1739 - Shuja-ud-Din Muhammad Khan died in Murshidabad. He was the Nawab of Bengal from 1727 to 1739.
