December 25 - Madan Mohan Malaviya was born in Allahabad. He was an educationist and freedom fighter. He was the President of the Indian National Congress on four occasions. He is the founder of the largest residential university in Asia, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) at Varanasi in 1916.
