December 24 - Bollywood hero Anil Kapoor was born at Chembur Mumbai, Maharashtra. He has acted in many Bollywood super hit films and more recently in some international films.

December 6 - Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar died at the age of 65 in Delhi. He was a jurist, political leader, philosopher, anthropologist, historian, orator, economist, teacher, editor, writer, revolutionary and a revivalist for Buddhism in India. He was the chief architect of the Indian Constitution.
