February 6 - Rai Bahadur Sir Upendranath Brahmachari died. He was an Indian scientist and a leading medical practitioner.

February 11 - Malayapuram Singaravelu Chettiar died at the age of 85 in Chennai. He founded the first trade union in India. He was a freedom fighter initially under the leadership of Gandhi, later joined the communist movement.
