January 14 - Sobhan Babu (Uppu Sobhana Chalapathi Rao) was born in Chinna Nandigama, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh. He is one of the top Telugu film heroes. He received Rashtrapathi Award for Best Classical Film Actor/Hero, five Nandi Awards for Best Actor, and four Filmfare Awards for Best Actor - Telugu.

December 28 - Ratan Tata (Ratan Naval Tata) was born in Bombay, Bombay Presidency, British India. He was the chairman of the Tata Group (1991 to 2012). He received Padma Bhushan in 2000 and Padma Vibhushan in 2008 by Government of India and Lifetime Achievement Award by Rockefeller Foundation in 2012.
