January 12 - Mirza Basheer-ud-Din Mahmood Ahmad better known by the Ahmadiyya community as The Promised Son was born in Qadian, British India. He was Khalifatul Masih II, head of the Ahmadiyya Community.

July 30 - Rai Rajeshwar Bali was born. He was the Taluqdar of Daryabad, which was a princely state in India. He was an intellectual reformist. He also held the position of education minister of UP from 1924 to 1928.

November 14 - Jawaharlal Nehru was born at Allahabad. He was a prominent freedom fighter and the first Prime Minister of India.
