September 15 - Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay was born in Debanandapur, Hooghly, Bengal, British India. He was one of the most popular Bengali novelists and short story writers. His works have been made into about fifty films in many Indian languages, particularly his novel Devdas.
September 26 - Syed Ghulam Bhik Nairang (Meer Nairang) was born. He was a lawyer, poet and prominent Indian Muslim leader. He held office with the All-India Muslim League in pre-partition India.
December 25 - Muhammad Ali Jinnah was born. He was a lawyer, politician and statesman, and the founder of Pakistan. He was the leader of the All-India Muslim League from 1913 until Pakistan's independence and Pakistan's first Governor-General.
