March 17 - Joseph "Kaka" Baptista was born. He was a politician and activist from Bombay. He was closely associated with the Lokmanya Tilak and the Home Rule Movement. He was elected as the Mayor of Bombay in 1925.

April 19 - Lala Hansraj (also known as Mahatama Hansraj) was born. He was an educationist and a follower of Arya Samaj movement founder, Swami Dayanand. He founded Dayanand Anglo-Vedic Schools System (DAV) in Lahore.
