Vainyagupta

Vainyagupta was one of the last kings of the Gupta Empire. He became known by the discovery of the Gunaighar copper plate inscription dated 507 A.D. (188 Gupta Era), which mentions the grant of land to a Buddhist monastery established at Gunaikagrahara (present day Gunaighar). Vainyagupta may be the son of Purugupta.
