Ereyanga

Ereyanga was a king of the Hoysala Empire who ruled between 1098 A.D. and 1102 A.D. He succeeded his father Hoysala Vinayaditya as Hoysala king. He distinguished himself as a Chalukya feudatory. He is noted for his attack on Dhara fort of Malwa. He is also credited for defeating the Chola king and capturing the Chakrakotta. He fought against the Chola Kulottunga and sided Vikramaditya VI. He was a Jain by faith. Later Hoysala kings Veera Ballala I and Vishnuvardhana are his sons. He was succeeded by Veera Ballala I.
