Nearest town from this village is BASTI. The Near by station where all outstation train stops is BASTI. From Basti one have to take a bus to Tenooi village or Else from BASTI station you can take a passenger train to TINICH (a small station 3KM from this village). Tenooi has been the base of Thakurs earlier. The village was given as a gift to Shandilya Brahmins (TIWARI or TRIPATHI) by Ayodhaya Naresh. The village is currently base of all brahmins i.e., TIWARIs.
There is TENOOI MANDIR. THE OLD SYSTEM OF TRADING ie Barter system. LIFE AT ITS SIMPLE BEST..
LUSH GREEN FIELDS. BRAHMINS, BASICALLY PANDITS AND PUROHITS LIVE HERE WHOSE BASIC SOURCE OF LIVELIHOOD IS PRIEST N PREACHING AND ALSO FARMING. There is a PANCHAYAT SCHOOL, BUT NO FACILITY AT ALL.
I WOULD LIKE TO START SCHOOL AND HOSPITAL. My Village needs a revolution in terms of education. The youth there needs guidance. There is no sanitation. people stilll go to the fields. LAST YEAR I HELD THERE A ANNUAL SPORTS MEET BY COORDINATING WITH 4 VILLAGES AND SCHOOL.
IT WAS GOOD, BUT PEOPLE CAME OUT WITH QUESTIONS. WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS. YOU ARE SPENDING MONEY. YOU MIGHT BE HAVING SOME INTEREST. LEAVING ALL THIS I STILL WISH TO HELD IT COMING 6TH DEC 2007.
BECAUSE AFTER 25 YRS LIVING IN MUMBAI I VISITED THERE AND I THINK MY FATHER OWES A LOT TO HIS VILLAGE AND NOW BIENG HIS SON ITS MY RESPONSIBLITY
