Tallada is the nearest town from this village which is 12km away. Buses are available from Khammam and Madira. Autos are available at all times until 9 pm from Mittapalli. Near Muddunuru village, which is beside this village there is a place called 'Rama Padala Chinta' where Lord Rama walked while he was doing Aranyavasa.
There is a Ramalayam. This village is a Panchayat and Lakshmi Puram and Venkatapuram villages come under this Panchayat. Nagarjuna Sagar left canal passes through this village. Agriculture is the main occupation of the villagers. Paddy, cotton and chillies are the major growing crops.
