Nearest Town from this village is Karimnagar. This village is well connected from Karimnagar, Jagtial and Vemulawada by road (State High Way No. 10) and from Warangal/Peddapally/Karimnagar by rail. There are around 1500 houses and 4500 population in this village. Namilakonda is famous for its beautiful hill in peacock shape, with so many animals and birds like peacocks, cheetha, rabbits, deers and so many. Not only animals it is very famous for its sweet and yummy custard apples.
It was a major village in undivided Old Mallial Taluqa. It was under rule of Dora and later went under Nizam. Main center for surrounding mandals and villages for transport and communication. There is a Laxmi Narsimha Swamy temple located on a hill. It is famous for its small lake on the big rock it never dries even in hot summer. There is a Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple located in the heart of the village, famous for its Lingam.
There is a Gadi (Fort) in this village. It is an ancient fort built by Dora rulers. It is famous for its long and tallest walls and Dussehra festival. There is Peerila Majid in this village. It was built around 70 years back. It is famous for its Peerila festival.
People in this village are mainly dependent on agriculture. Main source of water is wells and bore
wells. Two lakes are there Pala cheruvu and Jafar Khan cheruvu both are in critical position. Because of no rains from so many years most of the youngsters are migrated to gulf countries like Saudi, Dubai, Doha, Kuwait, etc. Industries like Brick industries, Textiles and Beedi manufacturing are main sources in village.
