Nearest town from this village is Musanagar. To reach this village, 2 km away from GT road from Kanpur, one can take bus to Ghatampur and then jeep or local trasport.
The farmers in this village were pioneer in growing potatoes and jeera in olden days, but now no irrigation system so nothing much is happening there. This village is very near to Mukta Devi Temple. This is a very famous ancient tample with natural beauty.
Majority of people are Hindus. Mostly sachan (kurmi kshatriyas) along with SCs and others. Profession of the people is farming. Language is awdhi and bhojpuri mixed.
There is a primary school and inter college in this village. There is a post office and primary health center. This is a typical Indian vellage with nice hearted people. One can find lots of literate people with no jobs. Half of the population is being migrated to cities. Some still trying to save its fate by doing somthing for the village.
