Nearest town from this village is Thane. To reach this village by train, its a one hour ride from Thane. Kalyan is the nearest junction and by road it takes one and half hour. The history of this village goes back to Shivaji Maharaj's time. It is said that the men of Shivaji Maharaj exchanged their horses. Hence the name Badla pur.
There are many temples around this village. Kanhor is a village at 1 hour ride and is very peaceful and serene to go there. There are temples mainy of hindu gods but people of all religion reside here. Another attraction is the KONDESHWAR temple situated at an hour by bus between beautiful waterfall. there is a peaceful shiva temple.
BARVI DAM is a place which acts as the main water supply to Thane district. One can feel the fresh air while in the train too and water too is pure. Being a suburban station it has all basic facilities too. Everything is present here from good schools to hospitals. Bus service is filthy but trains are good. Improvements are taking place now rapidly.
One will be freshened with the pure air and a simple town feeling and please do visit the waterfalls. They are awesome. One will sure fall in love with this place.
