The temple of Devi Sunanda is in the village Shikarpur which is 10 miles North of Barishal. The temple of Vairab Tryambak is in Ponabalia located 5 miles South of Jhalkati rail station. Ponabalia is under the village Shamrail situated on the bank of the river Sunanda (at present known as Soundha).
A large number of worshippers visit this place at Shiva-Chaturdashi (a religious occasion on the 14th moon during March)
