Its population is 1500. The west side of our village has beautiful Lake. It serves water for nearly 10000 hectors for agriculture and also drinking water for 50 villages. It is also one of the tourist places in Khammam District. It has one Ramalayam which was constructed recently by village people with their own expenses. All people has friendly nature. Our village is on state highway No. 7.
It has one junior college (Kristhu Jyothi Jr College) and one high school(Jesu Hrudaya High school), one govt primary school. In this village literacy is high. Famous people in this village are Venkateswarlu Kampalli (Software Engineer), RamaRao Kampalli (Lecturer), Sheshu, Laxman, Ramesh, Srinu Modugu, NagRaju, and Gopal. It is the place for freedom fighters also. Some freedom fighters are Pullayya Nallamalla, Satyanarayana Baddam. This village has 10 wards.
