A small village 8 km from the Town Tenali. Major crops are rice, lemon, sugar cane and banana. Population is arround 2000 with 1600 voters. Agriculture is the basic source of income. Has one elementary school, one library, and post office. Nowadays children from this village are studying well and aquiring degres and settled well. There are arround five software engineeers, more than 10 engineering professionals, more than 50 Govt employees and three doctors from this village. Few guys are pursuing the Engineering and Management graduations from various universities.
10 years ago there were no proper roads to this village. In the Days of Vajpaye Govt and Rajendra prasad as MLA, with Prime minister funds a direct thar road was layed, which joining the NH (Tenali-Repalle) and now all are cement roads. Because of this facility, arround six school vans are comming to this village and even parents also showing interst to study their children. Before that, in rainy season it was very difficult to travel to this village. Only one paper is coming to library in this village. Now also it is comming, but paper boy is coming to distribute yearly membership holders. Only one phone was there in post office. Now also it is there, but more than 200
mobile connections are there. One cable service is there which providing two news channels.
There were few black and white TVs, but now more than 300 TVs are there. Few Guys having personal computers. Still nobody has taken Internet connection. May be because of Tenali is 15 mins away from this village. All this happened because of litracy and change in the communication world.
