Proddatur is the tehsil/mandal/taluka in the district of Cuddapah of Andhra Pradesh in India. Proddatur is a town after Bombay, in India, this town is thought to have the highest
transaction of gold in the country. Proddatur is the home town of major cement industries like India Cements Limited (Chilamakur), Zuari and India Cements Limited (Yerraguntla).
Proddatur is also famous for the Dussera Celebrations, it is also often referred to as Second Bombay.
