The village is located 7 km from the Madakasira town. This village is well known because of the famous politicians and factionists of the town. Once called as the royals village of the
Ananthapur District. Famous people like Thimma Reddy Y.C, VenkataRanga Reddy, Thimma Reddy Y.V, and Prabhakar Reddy Y.T. were born in this village who once bacame MLAs, MLCs and ZP Chairman for the town.
