1737 - 40 foot waves sink 20,000 small craft and kill 300,000 in Bengal.

1855 - Ghulam Muhammad Ghouse Khan died at the age of 31. He was the 12th and last Nawab of the Carnatic. He did not leave behind any male heir and the kingdom was formally annexed by the British East India Company as per the Doctrine of Lapse.

2011 - Bollywood film "Love Breakups Zindagi" directed by Sahil Sangha starring Zayed Khan and Dia Mirza was released.
